Welcome to AEO Ranker. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the aeoranker.app website and services ("Service") operated by AEO Ranker ("we," "our," or "us").

AEO Ranker is an Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) platform that:

  • Discovers competitor content strategies
  • Generates actionable content plans optimized for AI citation
  • Provides reports and strategy documents

The Service uses third-party APIs and AI models to generate recommendations. Results are informational and strategic in nature.

2. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account through our authentication provider (Clerk). You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Circumvent any access controls or usage limits
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

4. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by AEO Ranker and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our property without permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of:

  • The niche inputs you provide
  • The strategies and reports generated for your account

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your inputs solely to provide the Service.

Generated Strategies

The strategies we generate for you are yours to use for your business purposes. You may:

  • Implement the recommendations
  • Share reports with your team or clients
  • Modify and adapt the content

You may not resell raw generated strategies as a competing service.

5. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party providers including:

  • OpenRouter/Claude: AI model for strategy generation
  • DataForSEO: Keyword metrics and SERP data
  • Perplexity: Search intent analysis
  • Crawl4AI: Content scraping

These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability or practices.

6. Payment and Billing

Free Tier

We may offer a free tier with limited features. Free tier availability and limits may change at any time.

Paid Plans

If you purchase a paid plan:

  • Fees are billed in advance on a subscription basis
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method
  • Refunds are handled according to our refund policy
  • We may change pricing with 30 days notice

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF RESULTS

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Generated strategies will achieve specific results
  • AI search algorithms will not change
  • Recommendations will be suitable for your specific situation

AEO Ranker is a strategic tool, not a guarantee of rankings or business outcomes.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AEO RANKER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Cost of substitute services
  • Any damages exceeding the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim

This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, or otherwise).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AEO Ranker, its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Content you submit to the Service

10. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue features at any time
  • Update these Terms with reasonable notice
  • Change pricing with 30 days notice

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, stop using the Service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Abuse the Service or other users

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service ends immediately
  • We may delete your account data after a reasonable period
  • Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and AEO Ranker.
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
  • Waiver: Failure to enforce a right does not waive that right.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent.
